Dropping and cutting of sound

Post by Nighthawk666 » Sat Feb 11, 2017 9:42 am

Hi

Every time i try recording with my microphone i seem to have problems with the audio.
When i start talking in to the mic its like it missed the first letter like its cut off, like the mic had to wake up first to work. also through out the recording of continues sound the microphone drops in and out. With dropping in and out, i don't actually mean totally out, its more like the volume abruptly drops and jumps back up (like someone pressing a button).

My setup is sm58 on boom arm to Komplete audio 6 interface input one with xlr connector directly in to the computer through usb.

Could this be a driver issue or the fact that it is running through usb?

any help appreciated.
