aggregate device setup with UR28m and yamaha modx

Post by walsingham »

Hoping someone out there has this setup or similar,

I am looking at going with mac to get this feature ( Aggregate device) I know there is asio4all out there but im actually ok with getting a mac as a dedicated DAW if it can achieve this.

The impression I've got is that if i create a aggregate device with ur28m and modx, I can have both usb connections and have the "dedicated asio device experience" that each one has ( modx connect project layout and steinberg routing) at same time.

Is this correct or do you lose some track functions,monitoring/mute/solo in the deal?

And is there STILL asio switching involved while in project- or is it set it and forget it?

Cubase pro 10, Windows 10 , UR28m
