What are the professional interfaces recommended for Cubase 7....

MR816csx excellent compatibility and very low latency !!
quality it's good too, but if you need great converters go to another device ...

you might want to look at rme gear. I can highly recommend it.They have a lineup that suits almost any application needs. Very low latency, very low cpu hit, very stable drivers and good support. You payfor it but it is more than worth it, at least for me.
