Hi,

You should use the Steinberg Download Assistant. Please have a look here:

https://www.steinberg.net/index.php?id=14159&L=0

Please mind that you'll need the USB-eLicenser to activate the license. So I guess you'll need to wait for the box.

Cheers,

If it says "invoice pending" then it may mean the payment hasn't arrived yet?

And further to that, as it's a crossgrade from Sonar Platinum I'd guess it might need a human to verify it so possibly takes longer than a normal purchase? (I seem to recall previous crossgraders have had the same issue.)

Hi thanks for responding
I think i might have ordered box version
Although it s not what i wanted but looked again
And it seems to be the only option if you crossgrade
There is a picture of a box next to win icon and mac icon
Which you cant dissable...its a real pain as i cant
Seem to contact steinberg ...and have no idea when
It would arrive losing days work ect...if i knew
This was going to happen i would have got it from uk retailer.. and paid for delivery....you would think there
would be away of contacting them by phone..
Ive never had a prob with any other daw providers
Cheers phill

I'm in exactly the same situation. Crossgrade from Sonar this weekend (for obvious reasons, I expect there'll be a lot of us picking up Cubase soon), got the special offer and was very disappointed to find out (after ordering) it was 100% boxed software with no download option. I guess we need the USB eLicenser anyway, but it would have been a lot quicker to download the software and order the licenser from Amazon, if only they could provide us with our activation codes etc. by email.

Although, I'll at least say that having the physical media and a USB dongle does at least provide some reassurances in the light of what has happened to Sonar.

Anyway, according to the FAQ, it seems that we should expect delivery of the box sometime within the next 5 working days. Let's see who gets theirs first! It would have been really nice to at least have a shipping status or delivery tracker but I guess we just have to wait and hope.

Thanks

You can only buy it from the Steinberg store if you're in Europe.

American users will have to buy it from other stores such as Sweetwater:

;)

Cubase Pro and Wavelab Pro (latest), Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, MSI Z87-G45 GAMING, i5 4690k, GeForce GTX 760, almost every Steinberg plugin and expansion, Trilian, Komplete 10, etc etc etc etc

Thanks for the reply.
I just found out that Cubase does not support 32bit Plugins so its no use to me.
I have a lot of 32bit plugins that I use quite regularly.

You can just buy jBridge and the 32 bit plugins will work exactly like they did in Sonar. Sonar had jBridge built in.

It's pretty cheap.

Yep, got the confirmation email too. Supposed to be here tomorrow - it's going to be a fun few days getting everything set up! Just hope there's not too much "culture shock" coming from Sonar.
