Cubase 9.5 questions

Post by KeyProg » Sat Nov 18, 2017 2:32 am

I'm thinking about upgrading from Cubase AI8 to Cubase Elements 9.5; however, I have a few questions. 1) I have a Dell Inspiron M5040 (Windows 7-64 bit, 1TB hard drive, 8 GB of RAM, 1366 x 768 display resolution). Would this computer handle Cubase Elements 9.5? 2) 32 bit VSTs no longer work with Cubase Elements 9.5 unless you use jbridge, correct? 3) You don't need a dongle for Cubase Elements 9.5, correct? It works with the soft e-licenser? 4) Since I have a Yamaha MOXF8, will Elements 9.5 integrate well with my keyboard? Because I know AI versions were in correlation with the MOX/MOXF's. Would really appreciate someone's help with my questions.

1. In theory it meets the minimum specs as far as I can see (https://www.steinberg.net/en/products/c ... urces.html ) but personally I'd wait until the demo comes out unless someone can confirm this. I'd find it hard to work at that resolution but it is possible I'm sure.....
2. Yes, you'll need jBridge or a hack to run 32 bit plugins.
3. No, you don't need a dongle.
4. As well as it works with your current set up I'm sure.
