Cubase 9 and VST 2.4

Post by SledDriver » Sun Dec 11, 2016 2:35 am

Is VST 2.4 still supported or did I see a mention somewhere that it's all VST 3 only now?

Cheers

64-bit VST 2.4 plugins are still supported, and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Only vst2.4 shells are no longer supported like the waves wavesshell vst 2.4 and silentway shell. Waves is no issue since the vst3 shell is working Silentway is a problem!

Wait, is this true? I didn't even notice since I only have the VST3 in my plugin manager profile but what a pain in the ass. It doesn't affect me, but I still don't like seeing this. I can understand removing 32 bit but this seems unnecessarily restrictive.
