Lyrics won't adjust to new rhythms

Post by assafig » Sat Mar 28, 2020 6:08 pm

Hi all,

After I input lyrics into my score, I've made adjustments to the notes. The lyrics however, won't follow and remain in the original spot..

Any idea how to make that happen automatically, rather than delete the lyrics and re-input them?

Thanks!

You can’t automate it - lyrics are attached at rhythmic points, not to specific notes. It’s quick to select the lyrics (en masse), cut, select the first note and go Shift-L paste paste paste paste paste etc.

If you're moving notes backwards and forwards, the lyrics will move with the notes as long as you select the note and the lyric.
