Making a midi track audible!

Post by Ransong » Fri Nov 17, 2017 12:25 am

I'm really new to posting messages, but here goes.
I'm using Nuendo 6.5 and have been struggling to get my midi key board (KB) track to be audible. I have the KB hookup and can see signal from
the KB midi out to DAW midi in and from the DAW midi out back to the KB. Have recorded a track that is visible, so I know the track is there, but I can't hear the sound when recording or when in playback.
This is the first time I have attempted to use midi for anything so I expect issues, but can't seem to get around this. I'm sure its something simple but have spent so much time trying to figure it out I have given up. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

MIDI is not audio and needs a device that can create sound. Plenty Info about MIDI on the web, or in the manual. The chapter "VST instruments" might be a good place to start.
Apart from that, you're in the german forums.

Oops! Thanks for letting me know. I'll switch over to English.
