I can recommend it, it's absolutely great! Not exactly cheap, but after spending 2 hours in the store trying different Yamaha's, Rolands, Drummit, Alesis etc I really couldn't resist :)

Those are Cerwin Vega E series which give a very different response than the reference monitors - (helps with mix translation). They are built into custom sealed cabinets which port down into large bass traps (hangers) below as they are a bit bass heavy for the room.
Pictures of their construction as well as many other aspects of the studio construction can be found on John L. Sayers web forum New Studio in Turbenthal

Thanks. It was a lot of work, took about a year, but worth it.
Now I'm being asked to help out with other's studios - only with the design luckily.

Nice Steve, one of these days I'm going to have to do the electric drum kit thing. But my small room is jammed already. Not sure where I'd put it.

Hi

Just a question - why do you place the MC Mix on the right hand side of the MC Control :?:

Tried that once and felt "wrong" :!:

Have now the vice versa and feel :P
Operate the touch screen of the MC Control anyway with the right hand - is not possible to do it with the left hand - I'm a righthander ;)

Anyway, my studio looks pretty same as yours - a nice one.

Cheers

I thought when placing speakers on their side it was better to place the woofer outside and the tweeter inside?
