installing existing software to new daw pc

Post by mystein » Fri Jul 05, 2019 4:33 pm

hi all, I currently own cubase 7.5 and wavelab elements on a 12 year old pc (with elicenser). Cubase was originally installed via discs and wavelab was bought as a download. I want to build a new daw pc. Will I have to go back to original versions of cubase and wavelab on the new pc and then update them online or will steinberg let me download the latest versions that I had to the new pc? TIA for any insight on the procedure to do this.

Download the Steinberg Download Assistant and install the software versions you own. If you install from the full installer you will get the latest version of it. You will need to reactivate software that has it's license stored on the computer soft eLicenser. Software that has it's license stored on a USB eLicense dongle does not need to be reactivated. ... activation
