Audio stopping, skipping and crackling

Post by jamie1981uk » Fri Aug 17, 2018 11:55 am

This can happen at random times and even when I'm not in Cubase. I was using S-Gear one day and noticed the audio would cut out for a few seconds and doing what i mentioned in the title. I have recently upgraded my pc (new motherboard, ram, cpu and gpu to come) and I've had to rework all my recordings because I was using Guitar Rig and I prefer S-Gear (Re-amping is a joy) and I noticed the same problem again. yes my heart stopped a little but in fairness I did need the upgrade. the one main thing I have not changed is my audio processor which is the Eleven Rack. I do have a Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 which i used for a short time until I got the 11R and just kept the Focusrite boxed up. Does this sound like its a issue with the 11R? It's not a massive loss if it is but I'm wondering if anybody else as had this issue?

Any help is much appreciated.

Current pc spec:-
Fractal Design R5 case
Asus Rog Strix H370-F motherboard
Intel i7 8700 cpu
Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2x8gb (16gb ram)
EVGA 1060 6gb (on its way)
OCZ-ZS 750w
Eleven Rack doing all the audio work (except gaming)
