Crossgrade to Cubase Options?

Post by Rotund » Sun Nov 18, 2012 10:58 pm

I think I need to get off the Nuendo train. Just not using the post features as much as I used to.
So I can't justify the extra cost anymore.
With the cost of the Nuendo update, plus the Nek update, we are almost at the price of buying Cubase new everytime there is a major update.

Please tell me there is some kind of crossgrade/discount for Nuendo owners?
Inboard:

Outboard:
Moog Model D (Vintage), Sub 37, Minitaur, Slim Phatty, DSI OB-6 Desktop, Prophet Rev2 8 Voice, Roland Integra 7, SE-02, Korg Prologue 16, Triton Le, Boss Dr. Rhythm DR-55, Sound Gizmo.

There isn't, or wasn't for N4/5 and C5/6.

You can only upgrade a Cubase license or buy Cubase, and sell Nuendo to offset it. I hear you on the upgrade costs - they do seem way out of line compared to what Cubase offers.

PM me if you decide to sell Nuendo.

It is not, if you work with Nuendo's post production features.
If you don't, Cubase would be the better choice, anyway.

Nuendo is the center piece of all my studio setups. The costs of acquisition and
upgrades of Nuendo are ridiculous compared to that of a single, one-function
hardware FX unit. Upgrade budget is earned in a relaxed afternoon session.
I worked much harder for my first full-size console.
