SineSweep with TestGenerator PlugIn?

Post by microphoneman »

Hi Folks,

I couldn't find an item to get an answer for this:

Is it possible to create a sine sweep through the Steinberg Test-Generator PlugIn in Nuendo 5?

Maybe by automating the frequency fader? But how could I automate it?

Thank you for your replys.

Regards

Jens

PS: Happy New Year!

Automating that is a good idea.

Does the top of the plugin frame show read/write buttons? I can check when I get back to the studio in a couple of days.
N5.5.6, Mac Pro "5,1" 3.2.0x4, 32G RAM, 10.8.5, MOTU 2408 Mk3, Apogee AD-16x and DA-16x, PT 10, lots of big old analog stuff, C6.5, Big Ben clock, Steinberg MR816x, etc.

If you're Mac based, you could also throw together a quick VST in SonicBirth...
Lots of useful stuff......and info on my studio...

(Nuendo setup: 10+..., Mac 10.13+ on 3.2GHzQuad 8GB, MOTU 2408, Blackmagic Intensity, TC Powercore updated to current OS, MCP plus expander, Steinberg mini control panels, lots of plugins, SoundMiner.)

Thank you very much for your answers.

I justed used a workaround in this case: generating the sweep with WaveLab.

But it could still be a cool feature to do it directly in Nuendo. So more suggestions are a appreciated.

BTW I'm a windows-user.

To be honest: I have to check that. [I'm not at my DAW at this moment].

The free MDA TestTone-VST does the trick:

-> http://mda.smartelectronix.com

... believe it or not, that's one of my "can't live without it"-plug-ins. For example, it's noise is real stochastic noise, not just a silly loop like in Nuendo's own test-tone generator. It produces impulse spikes as well as band-limited sweeps of selectable lenghths, and so on. :-)

Also available as 64-bit: -> http://sourceforge.net/projects/mda-vst/

HTH,
Not on that URL, Dietz. The downloader definitely says W32 DLL files.
